Homework
Your child will have about 30 minutes of homework a night. This would include a math worksheet, spelling word practice and reading. The math homework will be a review or remembering page from content that was already taught. If the work becomes too frustrating to complete at home, please write a note on the work and send it back. I will review it with the student.
To become a better reader, it is important to practice the skill at home. Try to make a routine of reading 10-15 minutes a night. The minutes should be recorded on the monthly Home Reading Log calendar.
If no homework is assigned, students can always practice math facts and/or use educational websites to review skills.
